Tween Birthday Theme

We all know teenagers can be hard!! Not to mention that teenage party themes are ever changing. That’s why I wanted to make it super easy for you and give you the perfect disco girl themed party! From the cake all the way to party favors I got you covered. ;)

First, I knew that I wanted every detail to be perfect and who are we kidding girls love pictures so I made this cute photo backdrop and cut it out of styrofoam board and painted one side yellow and covered one side in checkered cloth. I topped it off with a balloon arch to really tie it all together.

For the decor I knew I wanted it to sparkle so I added the cutest iridescent table cloth and paired it with disco themed drink cups along side the smiley face plates. For a little extra touch I wanted to also be encouraging and intentional with each of the girls and my good friend had just released this Bedtime Gratitude Journal and I thought it was one of the best party favors to give to each of them.

Next, Leaning into the food side I knew I could go a couple of different directions. If you didn’t know their’s this new trend where you mix a bunch of different types of candy together and have a candy pot luck so to speak (it’s different I know but oh well) so I did a bowl of that. I also found this perfect cupcake hack where you take a marshmallow (I found if they’re not super sticky it works best) and cut 4 slits and spread it out it makes this flower marshmallow topper that was too easy. Kynlee wanted a disco themed cake so I bought these cute little disco balls and melted some icing and used it to adhere them to the top of the cake making it the perfect cake topper. Lastly, you might have seen the veggie charcuterie board I posted on my instagram a few weeks ago and it was too cute of an idea to pass up I knew I needed to add it to the food selection even if they girls went for the candy first it didn’t hurt to have options.

At the end of the day I wanted to make sure Kynlee felt so special and loved and I definitely think this party made her shine!! Let me know below if you try any of these ideas out!!

XOXO - Amanda
